Kyle joined the Pirates in 1994 and quickly established himself as one of the best Running Backs in Club history.
In his Rookie season he became the first player to break the 1,000 yard barrier in the Premier State Gridiron League, and that was just a taste of things to come.
Unfortunately, there were a couple of major injuries during his career, but when healthy, Kyle was a consistent and productive workhorse in the Pirate backfield and could be counted on for some tough yards in any situation.
Not possessed with blazing speed, he had quick feet and an uncanny ability to find a hole or make something out of nothing.
Statistically his best game came against the Parramatta Bears in September, 1996, when he rushed for 232 yards on 28 carries, and he followed that up with an additional 211 yards against the Sutherland Seahawks the following week.
He led the Club in scoring in five of his seven seasons, and a 4 Touchdown performance against the Bondi Raiders in August, 1997, is still a Club Record.
Kyles career with the Pirates came to an end after the 2000 season, and he finished with 5,344 career yards from 947 carries, and 39 Touchdowns.
Kyle Parker was one of the Pirates best, and a major contributor to the Clubs history and success.
